We are partnering to build an Africa where every child gets textbooks to enhance learning.
Concerned with the fallen standard of education in Africa and Nigeria in particular, Shettima Diligent Hands – SDH collaborated with major publishers of books to provide every child with textbooks through the five-year book program and textbook scholarship program. SDH also partners with government and other private organizations to provide training to teachers of public schools inorder to improve learning outcomes.
SDH also created an opportunity for young people to earn a livelihood through its economic empowerment program aimed at providing skills in agriculture, allied products, technology, and so on.
We Facilitate and provide easy access to Learning Materials
The five-year textbook registration is one of SDH’s pivotal initiatives that stands to revolutionize the educational landscape for our children because it ensures access to comprehensive study materials from kindergarten through secondary school. The program guarantees access to complete textbooks selected by government representatives, community, and private organizations or individuals for a period of five academic sessions spanning from kindergarten to secondary school through a one-off payment. Here’s how it works: once our partner e.g government representative or community as the case may be indicates the level of a child or children in need of textbooks, picks up a form, and pays the prescribed registration fee; SDH provides textbooks to that child or children’s covering complete five academic sessions e.g A child in Junior Secondary School two (JSS2) subscribe for SDH textbooks program will receive textbooks up until Senior Secondary School three (SS3) for free. Furthermore, we are committed to adapting to changes should there be a need to change publishers due to curriculum adjustments, SDH will swiftly accommodate these changes provided we are informed in a timely manner. By investing in this program, we collectively invest in the educational property of our future leaders.
